HamLog App Reviews

Great app, with one complaint

This is a very good app with loads of features, but I have one little piddlin gripe: In the Band Plan feature where it lists the different mode and license class segments of a band, such as Extra, Advanced, General, SSB, etc, it designates a limited "CW" segment. Ask any CW op and see what kind of answer you get. There is no CW segment because CW is allowed all across the HF bands. I know...petty complaint..but thats all I can find wrong with this fine app.

Awesome App

Replaces the paper log in the truck. Has so many cool tools it becomes indispensable for mobile hamming. Top quality indeed.

What about the 1.2 ghz band?

Why the 1.2ghz band is not included in the band plan? I requested this long time ago and seem like just because there is not many people using it nobody cares, but by not including it here there will be less people using it because they dont know about it Thanks Ka6vha

Great

If one is looking for a great program with many useful features you cant go wrong. It is always being updated by adding more great features. Much greater than just a temporary logger program. This program continues to set a higher standards

Awesome

So many features for $.99. Its a steal. Would gladly pay much more.

Not Working

It seems the google version of this app works well, but the Iphone version, mostly doesnt work. On both WIFI, and LTE - DX Spots dont load, Calendars dont load, Callsign Lookups never respond, HF Net lists are blank, - Errors for many of these functions - The resource could not loaded because the App Transport Security policy requires the use of a secure connection." I had mistakenly assumed that the Pignology apps where more poliched on the iPhone since I thought originally, the apps and the hardware Pignology developed, where primarilly for the i devices.

Only some of the utilities work in this version.

Numerous utilities dont work in this version on my iPad like solar data, weather, etc. and also get a Transport Security policy requires the use of a secure connection error message.

Great app with great support!

Ive been using HamLog for almost all of my mobile and portable operations for the last three years. I first downloaded it and used it for field day and it was perfect. An iOS device is perfect as a low power logging computer. Cloudsync works great, the grid square locator has worked flawlessly on three different models of iPhone, and the band plan and wavelength calculator are great tools to have on hand. When I had a question about a feature the author was quick to respond and point me in the right direction. The feature was already there! 73, N0ECK

Difficult for iPad

Apps number row above keyboard is hidden by keyboards predictive text row. Cant hide predictive row for the callsign entry box. So, you have to switch keyboard back and forth between letter and number views to enter callsign. If this were fixed, it would be very useful for field use.

Very useful

As a new ham operator, this is exactly what I was looking for. Admittedly, parts of it are a little too advanced for me, but I think Ill grow into it. Along with the basic features, like logging contacts, the codes are remarkable (like a Morse translator and a table of Q codes). Very good job.

Great app

Thanks for the number board fix, looking forward to seeing the next improvements. Thanks

Worked perfectly - then crashed on opening

This was a great logging program. Then, it would crash immediately upon opening. I hope the programmers will fix it - I have not changed iOS (still on 7x)

Stopped working

Program stopped working, cant open it, cant delete it. Its useless
